The Police ruled the Airwaves from 1978 to 1984 with a staggering 15 Top 40 Singles and massive Worldwide Record Sales with just 5 Albums.
Their distinctive Bottle Blonde look and unique "New Wave" Sound, an unlikely fusion of Punk Rock, Reggae, Pop and Jazz even, caught a Post Disco UK Audience totally by surprise and propelled the band on a meteoric rise to become the World's Biggest Touring Band of the early 80's before an eventual split at the top of their game in 1986.
The Fans waited and finally in 2007 their patience was rewarded, when The Police reformed for a massive 150 date World Tour but a reunion and new material? Sadly No.
