“Edinburgh Fringe legends” Jollyboat present their best comedy songs from 10 years of touring comedy clubs, comic cons and music festivals.
We’re excited to be back in Erinburgh – last year’s event was so heaving it was ridiculous! We found a much larger venue :D. The venue has a licence for people age 14+ 🙂
The tour shows have become a place to meet up with other members of the Jollyboat Crew, before we all gather at JollyCon (July 13th, 2019).

Glen Matlock wrote arguably the most famous punk song ever, “Pretty Vacant”, along with the music for all of the Sex Pistols classics including “God Save the Queen” and “Anarchy in the U.K.” during his time as guitarist with the Sex Pistols.
After leaving the Pistols, Glen formed Rich Kids along with Midge Ure, Rusty Egan and Steve New, releasing one album “Ghosts of Princes in Towers” before splitting. In the 1980’s Glen worked with Iggy Pop before releasing an album on Creation Records “Who’s He Think He Is When He’s At Home” in 1996. His latest album “Good To Go” featured Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats, Chris Spedding, Neal X & Earl Slick.

We are presenting a full-length program of Terry’s music: intricate and often improvisational structures containing elements of minimalism, jazz, ragtime, and North Indian raga, the combination of which have defined Terry’s diverse and prolific career.
California Composer Terry Riley launched what is now known as the Minimalist movement with his revolutionary classic IN C in 1964. This seminal work Provided a new concept in musical form based on interlocking repetitive patterns. It’s impact was to change the course of 20th Century music and it’s influence has been heard in the works of prominent composers such as Steve Reich, Philip Glass and John Adams and in the music of Rock Groups such as The Who, The Soft Machine, Tangerine Dream, Curved Air and many others. Terry’s hypnotic, multi-layered, polymetric, brightly orchestrated eastern flavored improvisations and compositions set the stage for the prevailing interest in a new tonality.
